Toby Frevert is the Veterans Support Specialist at Towson University's Military & Veterans Center in Towson, MD. Since joining the MVC community, Toby has helped Towson University achieve the Military Friendly Gold Status, as well as making Towson University a Top 20 Institution in the Northern Region for Veterans, according to U.S. News and World Report.

Prior to coming to TU, Toby worked for the Boy Scouts of America, and was involved in politics. Toby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies and French from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and is now working toward a Master of Arts in Professional Studies at Towson University, with a focus on Higher Education Leadership, Student Affairs, and Military-Affiliated Services. Toby hopes to become "the godfather" of Military-Affiliated Student Affairs.

In addition to his role as Towson's Primary SCO, Toby facilitates CliftonStrengths Workshops, helps organize events for the military-affiliated community, and is currently working toward becoming a certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer. Toby's focus on mental healthcare and developing leadership skills has contributed to the success of TU's military-affiliated students.

In his free time, Toby enjoys hiking, exploring the Rocky Mountains, and wearing down his partner so she'll finally agree to get a puppy. He is a great cook and below-average golfer.
