AVECO 
Scholarship Program

AVECO is proud to announce the AVECO Scholarship Program beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. The program was created to provide assistance covering educational expenses for veterans and service members and their spouses.

 

All awards are contingent on annual AVECO board approval of program funding allocations.

 

Applications will be accepted March 1, 2024, through April 15, 2024.

AVECO Uniformed Service Member Award

(1) $1000, (1) $700, (1) $500 

To qualify applicants must:

 

  • be a uniformed service member (active, reserves, guard)

  • be currently enrolled in an educational program at a regional or national accredited AVECO member institution.

  • be working towards an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree.

  • have a minimum of 12 or more hours (units) with a cumulative 2.5 GPA (undergraduate) from the AVECO member institution per semester; minimum of 6 or more hours (unit) with a cumulative 3.0 GPA (graduate) from the AVECO member institution per semester.

  • submit an official college or university transcript from your current institution submit a current Leave and Earning Statement

AVECO Spouse of Uniformed Service Member Scholarship

(1) $1000, (1) $700, (1) $500 

To qualify applicants must:

 

  • be the spouse of a uniformed service member (active, reserves, guard)

  • be currently enrolled in an educational program at a regional or national accredited AVECO member institution.

  • be working towards an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree.

  • have a minimum of 12 or more hours (units) with a cumulative 2.5 GPA (undergraduate) from the AVECO member institution per semester; minimum of 6 or more hours (unit) with a cumulative 3.0 GPA (graduate) from the AVECO member institution per semester.

  • submit an official college or university transcript from your current institution.

  • submit a copy of your spouse's current Leave and Earning Statement AND a copy of your corresponding state issued marriage certificate or license.

AVECO Veteran Scholarship

(1) $1000, (1) $700, (1) $500 

To qualify applicants must:

 

  • be a prior uniformed service member (active, reserves, guard).

  • be currently enrolled in an educational program at a regional or national accredited AVECO member institution.

  • working towards an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree.

  • have a minimum of 12 or more hours (units) with a cumulative 2.5 GPA (undergraduate) from the AVECO member institution per semester; minimum of 6 or more hours (unit) with a cumulative 3.0 GPA (graduate) from the AVECO member institution per semester.

  • submit an official college or university transcript from your current institution.

  • submit a copy of DD-214.
