Kim Archer
Member At Large
Member Institution: Dallas College
As a Navy veteran, Kim started her educational journey at Dallas College (formerly called Dallas County Community College District). Through this first-hand experience, she discovered that transitioning into the higher education student experience presented its own set of unique barriers. Taking advantage of the on-campus career center while attending classes, Kim accepted her first Dallas College career position in the Financial Aid Office. Assisting students and military beneficiaries with their financial aid applications and military education (federal/state) benefits soon evolved into a certifying official role. Kim has served in this capacity for 18 years.

Kim currently serves as the Military & Veteran Compliance Manager at the Dallas College-Brookhaven Campus in Farmers Branch, Texas and continues to appreciate the opportunity to assist in transforming military-connected beneficiaries’ lives through higher education.
This is her first year serving as an active member of the AVECO Board of Directors as a Member at Large.
